During this day you will learn that User Experience is not just the look and feel of your front-end. You will learn why it is important to understand the goal of the application. If different types of people are using the application, it affects the needs for the application design. And as a developer you are part of delivering a usable application, supporting the needs of the application users.

These two days give you an introduction to databases. You are able to create simple queries and have a basic understanding of normalization and relations. And you are also set to create better Mendix domain models.

Mendix Rapid
This week will kick start your journey to become a Mendix developer, teaching you the platform basics during the Rapid developer course. Followed by a mini project to recap and embed all learnings.

In this course, we will teach you how to create your first Mendix app with all the handy tools of the Mendix platform. Capture your project requirements and build your app using Mendix Studio Pro. Deploy your app and run it in the cloud. When you complete this course, you are all set to take the Rapid Developer Certification exam.

Guided by a Mendix trainer, you will model your own first Mendix application. The aim of this mini project is to recap all the lessons of the Rapid Developer Course. Through the practical experience, you will gain more understanding of the basics and relations between all parts.

After completing the Mendix Rapid Developer week, you are eligible to take the Mendix Rapid Certification Exam.
A Rapid Developer has a baseline knowledge of the Mendix platform and knows where to find information using the documentation and forum. This certification is proof of your basic Mendix knowledge and demonstrates that you can join a project team and independently build prototypes.

Mendix Intermediate Bootcamp
The Mendix Developer Bootcamp is meant for Mendix developers and consultants to be. This bootcamp is designed to kickstart your Mendix knowledge in a condensed period of time. The bootcamp is filled with lectures about a variety of topics, and after each lecture the developer will put the theory directly into practice. The aim of this bootcamp is to empower the developer with the main set of knowledge, understanding and skills to start their developing career in a Mendix team.

The first sprint is setting the stage. You will build a Mendix app from scratch guided by a fixed set of user stories. These will guide you through the commonly used Mendix development patterns. Starting by setting up your domain model, defining security, front-end and application logic. At the end of the first sprint you have developed a complete stand-alone web and mobile application.
Description
After learning how to model a good stand-alone application, it’s time to improve and extend your application, your knowledge and your skills. During this sprint we will focus on modeling best-practices, the extendibility of a Mendix app and data processing. After this sprint you will be ready to join a Mendix team and contribute to the app development as intermediate Mendix developer.

After completing the Mendix Developer Bootcamp, you are eligible to take the Mendix Intermediate Certification Exam.
An Intermediate Developer has the fundamental knowledge of the Mendix platform to start building the next great apps. This certification is proof that you are ready to be added to operating teams and can contribute from the start by applying your knowledge and skills in different parts of the project development lifecycle.
